Bad weather—wind and drift. Went to Gap with Wright and could see there was no drift on Barrier though it was blowing hard and drifting heavily here.

Thursday 23rd March 1911, Corner Camp Party Return Reporting -42.7°F

Blowing and drifting again. The Corner Camp party returned having had—42-7°F. on the Barrier, their first experience of a low temperature. They were glad to get in as their kit was pretty solid with ice.

Wednesday 22nd March 1911, Two Journeys To The Gap

Two journeys to the Gap and brought in all the remainder of our camp equipment. Had a long talk with Gran who is fetching blubber from Pram Point every day.

Tuesday 21st March 1911, Concentric Weathering Of Trachyte Forms Pudding Basins!

Fine day. Went to top of Observation Hill with Scott and geologists to show them some very queer concentric weathering of trachyte which looked like nests of pudding basins let into the ground.
